Description de notre école

The Intensive English Program offers programs designed to help non-native speakers develop English skills for personal, academic, and professional purposes. IEP classes are similar to university classes in teaching style and content; therefore, students are required to have studied at least one year of English before attending the IEP.

The academic Intensive English Program improves the listening, speaking, reading, writing, and vocabulary skills needed to study at an American university and includes TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) practice for advanced students. The official TOEFL is given on campus at the UWF Testing Centers.

The Intensive English Program offers instruction on four levels and accepts students from high beginning through advanced. Students are given a placement test on the first day of class, and level is decided by committee. Advancement to the next level of instruction is based on the student’s post test score and class performance. Advanced students take an exit test.

In order to allow adequate time for the processing of the I-20 form for a VISA application, students should apply to the Intensive English Program six to eight weeks before the beginning of a session.

Fall and spring semesters consist of two seven-week terms, and summer consists of two six-week terms. There are 20 class hours of instruction per week. Students may enter the program during the first week of any session.

Description de nos cours et de nos tarifs

Fall and spring semesters consist of two seven-week terms, and summer consists of two six-week terms. There are 20 class hours of instruction per week. Students may enter the program during the first week of any session.

Intensive English Program tuition includes all classes, student ID card, IEP activities, and the use of the University of West Florida facilities.

The student is responsible for travel to the United States, housing, food, and other personal expenses, in addition to tuition.

Summer A and B $1400 each
Fall and Spring A and B Sessions $1650 each*
*Books not included and may be purchased at university bookstore.
Students should expect to spend up to $200 for books.
Prices subject to change.


Certification, diplôme et préparation d’examen

A certificate is given to students who meet all requirements stated in the certificate contract, including obtaining a grade of C or above in every subject.

Activités

The Intensive English Program offers several different activities throughout each term including Conversation Partners, cultural field trips, social and athletic activities and numerous events on campus through the Office of Diversity and International Education and Programs.

Our office offers a pick-up and drop-off service to our Intensive English Students upon their arrival and departure to the Pensacola Regional Airport, if necessary.
